Accessibility

Everyone should be able to use this site. It is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What works

• You can use every page, and send a request, with a keyboard alone.
• The request form works without JavaScript.
• Pages work at 320 pixels wide and at 400% zoom, without scrolling sideways.
• Questions, hints and errors are labeled for screen readers, and errors say how to fix them.
• The site follows your settings for reduced motion, more contrast and forced colors.

How we check it

Automated accessibility checks run on every page before each release. We also test the request form with a keyboard alone, at small screen sizes, with JavaScript off, and by checking what each page gives to screen readers.

Known problems

• With JavaScript on, the whole form can show for a moment before it changes to one step at a time.
