What you can request here
These are the services you can request through this site. We don’t take other work here.
Strategic intelligence assessment
Analysis of a topic, region or sector to support a decision you name: country and geopolitical risk, threat landscapes, emerging developments.
You receive: A written assessment: key judgments, the sources behind them, how confident we are, and what would change the view.
Scenario planning and foresight
Structured scenarios for a decision with a long horizon: the drivers, the signposts to watch, and what each scenario would mean for you.
You receive: A scenario set, a list of signposts, and a briefing.
Intelligence requirements design
Turning a decision into prioritized questions, each with a date after which the answer stops being useful, so your team knows what to collect and when.
You receive: A requirements plan: the decision, key questions, indicators, deadlines and sources.
Open-source research training
Training for your team in open-source research, verification and source handling, within legal and ethical limits.
You receive: Sessions, exercises and written procedures.
Software development
Software for research, analysis and secure communication, built to your requirements. We do not build tools that track people or get into systems without permission.
You receive: Working software, its source code, and documentation.
What we don’t take here
Each of these needs a license or a specialist team. Here is where to go instead.
Investigations of a person
Identifying, locating, profiling or monitoring an individual.
This work needs a licensed private investigator in most US states. Contact one licensed in your state.
Checks on a named company or organization
Background, reputation or conduct checks on a specific organization.
Checks on a named organization may require a private investigator license. For analysis of a sector or market, request a strategic intelligence assessment.
Cyber incident investigation and attribution
Investigating a breach and identifying who was responsible.
Finding out who was responsible may require a private investigator license. Contact your incident response provider or cyber insurer. In the US you can report cybercrime to the FBI at ic3.gov.
Digital forensics for evidence
Examining devices or accounts to produce evidence for a dispute or a court.
Evidence work may require a private investigator license, depending on the state. Ask your lawyer to engage a qualified forensic examiner.
